About Us
We personally travel to Europe to find, select and acquire authentic antiques, mostly antique furniture, but also small collectibles such as china, ceramics, prints, silver plate, walking sticks, etc., strictly English antiques, but in many cases British antiques would be more appropriate to say since we also buy Scottish and Welsh pieces of furniture and collectibles.
We ship the goods to Italy, where our family run business is based since the 1970s, English hallmarked silver in 1976 and British antique furniture from March 29th, 1979. The pieces are restored and packed, then shipped in containers to the US, and to Boston in particular.
In case of special orders and commission buys, we ship straight from England to New York, where we personally travel to pick up the pieces especially shipped, or Boston.
We then present our pieces since 2006 in New England and on the internet. First we attended antique shows and fairs, and after a great feedback and many sales, we decided to open an antique store in Newton, Ma.
The exact address was 1015 Boylston St (on route 9), 02461 Newton Higlands, Massachusetts. Tel: 617-999-0269.
We have now relocated to larger premises in Needham. We now have a workshop, storage and sales area, and much more parking.
The exact address is now 285 Chestnut St, 02492 Needham, Massachusetts. Tel: 617-999-0269.
When the antiques are in the US, we also personally refinish any pieces that need customization, such as a duller or shinier, based on the taste and furnishing needs of our clients, and we completely repair, restore and refinish pieces for our customers.
We offer complete furniture restoration services as well. We literally restore the antiques to their original look and finish, therefore using only oil, wax and shellac to follow the technique used originally for the pieces. In this way we preserve and enhance the value of the antiques we restore. All is done by hand at our workshop or on-site where necessary and reasonable. We do not spray synthetic and toxic chemicals.
We also repair and refinish later wooden furniture and home fixtures.
